Ms. Moradian, an instructor at Mohaghegh Ardabili University and curator of the exhibition, explained that the exhibition was held with the aim of supporting students and preserving and promoting the art of handicrafts. A total of 284 works by 31 students of the Handicrafts Department were showcased, featuring various fields including illumination, miniature painting, woodwork, metalwork, dyeing, sculpture and 3D art, mixed media, calligraphy and typography, carpet and textiles, ceramics, and pottery.
She added that the field of handicrafts encompasses a combination of human creativity, artistic skills, and manual craftsmanship, serving as a source of livelihood. In life, individuals face many challenges, and choosing the right educational path and suitable occupation can be decisive for their future. The most important foundation for entering this field is passion and devotion. Students must also have patience and strong skills in design, especially traditional design, along with familiarity with cultural heritage. A handicrafts student should know both traditional cultural methods and modern tools to create works that combine cultural authenticity with artistic innovation.
